This weekend----try the exotic flavors of Moroccan cuisine. Eat with your hands while lounging on a pillows. Watch belly dancers dance while you enjoy the authentic Moroccan dishes. Common Moroccan dishes are B'stilla- a chicken pie made with tons of spices, cinnamon, sugar and almonds, wrapped in a flaky phyllo crust, Roasted Lemon chicken, Hummus and other vegetarian spreads and lamb. Eating with your hands and tasting exotic flavors isn't for everyone--but if you are a budding Culturista in need of some culture--this is a must do! Check out some fab Moroccan Restaurants when you click read more!
Dar Maghreb
7651 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles 90046
323-876-7651
Open 7 days a week 5:30/6- 10:30/11
Dar Maghreb is my favorite Moroccan restaurant in LA. It is so well decorated, you feel you are transported to the exotic Morocco. And the food is delicious--amazing flavors. You also get to relax on pillows while you eat at low tables. The only catch is you have to order the full 7 course meal at $37 a person--but it is WORTH every penny. You are also entertained by belly dancers while you eat. So if you are going with a large party- Dar Maghreb is a must go!
7445 1/2 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90046
7 days a week - 5:30pm -11:00 PM
Moun of Tunis is very similar to Dar Maghreb- belly dancers, lounging on pillows, set course meal. The great thing about this restaurant is you can get a smaller set course meal if you aren't feeling up to the "Moroccan Feast." The meals go from $30 to $18. The decor is not the best here but the food is great.
Marrakesh
13003 Ventura Blvd
Studio City, CA 91604
Open Mon-Thu,Sun 5pm-10pm; Fri-Sat 5pm-11pm
Marrakesh is beautifully decorated with dim lighting, Arabic music, and authentic decor. Again they have set course meal- all of which come with soup, salads and b'stilla. Belly dancers will entertain you as you lounge on low comfy benches.
Tangine
132 N Robertson Blvd
Beverly Hills, CA 90211
(310) 360-7535
Tue-Sat. 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Very intimate, dark and candle lit, Tangine makes for a very romantic evening. The great thing about Tangine is it that you don't have to order family style. You can choose individually if you want a full set course meal or even just one ala carte dish. It's a bit more modern, Los Angeles take on Moroccan cuisine (no belly dancers and guys in Moroccan cosutme).

Denimology: THE SKINNY ON HOLY JEANS!
A few months ago it was the boyfriend jean, but now we are seeing a new development: torn jeans. While jeans with holes have been a trend for decades, the tears and shreds have been brought to a new level. It is merging grunge with punk rock with hipster. The cut of these ultra-torn jeans is skinny. The best part is, these jeans are being worn by a variety of Hollywood glamazons. These jeans can be worn casually during the day and also out at night. They are most commonly being seen in black and acid wash.
